Get a board ( oak or pine...) 50" x 16" and about an inch or 3/4 of an inch in thickness. You may have to get something bigger and cut it to size.The minimum size for your base is of course 45x15, but I would get it a bit larger , because I am assuming you have stud walls, and space for stud are 16". therefore if you use a 50" board you can support it with three brackets, each being mounted on a stud.
Then you need 3 supporting brackets. I would choose wooden brackets as oppose to metal. They would have predrilled holes for mounting to the wall.
