Windows x64 DVD/CD driver problem?
After setting up Win x64 using the same DVDRW on IDE, Windows now has a problem with that device and won't use it. The Hard Drive is on SATA. Why did x64 knock out that device driver and how do I solve this? I have never had this problem with any other version of Windoz.... This is the pits because I can longer use a CD's/DVD's. Thanks
Windows XP 64bit is very driver dependant I Know I used it for 12 months and could not get any driver support,you can try the following who support 64 bit

I would download the aspi layer from the first site and install this is the main layer for you cd/dvd drivers windows only installs 2 of the 4 files in the layer normally this will correct the problem its a good operating system,I now use XP Media Center Edition 2005
