will a 10gb laptop hdd work on a pentium mmx laptop?
i have a vintage laptop hitachi visionbook pro 7000.. with a processor of pentium mmx.. im planning to replace the hdd because of bad sectors.. so will a 10gb hdd work on it? i heard some people talking about old computers are limited only for 6gb hdd..
The only way you can find out is to install it. It should work (i'm not really sure). However, I will strongly recommend you get a relatively bigger hard drive. A 10GB HDD won't get you anywhere; by the time you install the operating system and a few programs, you'll have next to nothing. At the VERY LEAST, get a 40GB or 60GB hdd. It shouldnt cost much. You can also consider external hard drive.
In the end, It all depends on the kind of user you are, and how much you can afford.
