Improving your memory
A positive attitude is the first that to improving your memory and brain functioning ability. A negative and pessimistic outlook will only make your efforts less successful. If you don't have a general positive attitude then you are going to drastically decrease your chances of having a positive outcome. So ditch the negativity and get positive.
Basically, having a positive attitude and demeanour is the same as encouraging yourself. You can't be successful if someone you care about is always right behind you criticizing every effort you make and being negative. That would get old quickly. So why do it to yourself?
Goals are very necessary if you want to make any progress with your memory and mind power. So be sure to set goals. You might try this. Jigsaw puzzles are a powerful way, and a fun way, to increase your brainpower and improve your memory. Purchase some small jigsaw puzzles. One small enough so that you could complete it in a single day, maybe in an hour or two. Set a goal to complete so many in one week.
Make sure that you only set a one-week goal in the beginning. This is very important for laying the foundation of success. A one-week goal is easy to complete. Plus, giving the opportunity to celebrate immediately after your first efforts. If you say you are going to do this every day for a month or every day for a year, you will be highly likely to fail.
Perhaps the activities that were mentioned above don't interest you. That's okay. There are other things you can do to improve your brainpower. For example, card games, like solitaire or that you can play alone or spades that you can play with a partner or the computer, are just as effective at boosting the memory power of your brain.
